Loksabha Elections 2024 phase 2 Voting live Updates: Over  Over 60%Voter Turnout Recorded in 13 States ,UTs Till 5 PM in phase 2

    

   India phase2 Voting live: voting for 88Consittuent in the Second phase of the 18 Lokshabha election across 13 States and union Territories has begun.

   

      At 5pm, 60.7,.%voter Turnout was recorded across 13 States and Union Territories.Manipur . chhattisgarh, Bengal, Assam and Tripura recorded over 70% voter turnout while Uttarpradesh,Bihar and Maharashtra recorded the lowest turnout at 52.6% and 53.5% respectively.

     All 20 seats in Kerala,14of the 28 seats in Karnataka, 13 seats in Rajasthan,8seats each in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh,7seats in Madhya Pradesh,5seatd each in Assam and Bihar, 3Seats each of Chattisgarh and West Bengal.

     The PROMINENT CONTESTANTS in the fray for Second phase are Union minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar,BJP s Tejasvi Surya,Hema Malini and Arun Govil, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Shashi Tharoor, Karnataka Deputy chief DK Shivkumar brother DK Suresh and former Karnataka chief minister Kumarswamy.

    In 2019, the NDA had won 56 of the 89 seats and the UPA 24.Six of these seats have been redrawan  as part of the delimitation exercise.
